Senior Vice President, Group Executive, Fluid & Metering Technologies, and Fire & Safety/Diversified Segments
Melissa joined IDEX in October 2022 as a member of the IDEX senior leadership team, overseeing businesses that produce pumps, valves and metering technologies used in many challenging applications, fire and rescue equipment that helps save lives around the world every day, along with other diversified business units.
She joined IDEX from Danaher Corp., where she was most recently President of Cepheid, which designs and manufactures automated molecular diagnostic systems for use in urgent care centers and hospital labs. She has more than 20 years of experience, mostly rising through the ranks at Danaher, where she was also a leader for Leica Biosystems, a medical diagnostics company focused on cancer diagnostics, and McCrometer, which develops flow meters for demanding applications in agriculture, industry, and oil & gas.
Her general management experience spans industrial, life sciences and diagnostic industries. Melissa’s years at Danaher also included serving in Interim HR Director and as a leader in the Danaher Business System (DBS) Office. Her first roles at Danaher were with Hach Company, which makes water testing solutions. She began her career at Procter & Gamble as a process engineer, has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Melissa and her husband have five children and live in Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking and spending time in the mountains with her family.
