Kim is currently the president of the Industrial Group. The businesses in this group improve lives by producing foods we love to eat—like chocolate, peanut butter and nitro coffee—building pharmaceutical and dental equipment that keeps us healthy, and pumping the oil needed to power our cars. She joined IDEX in April 2014 as the president of GAST Manufacturing and Jun Air and has been promoted through a series of leadership roles with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Previously, Kim served as the executive vice president for EVRAZ, an integrated global steel producer, where she led the manufacturing operations and commercial activities for the $2B North American Flat Products business. Prior to EVRAZ, Kim held the role of industrial segment leader for GE, where she was responsible for defining, coordinating, and leading the cross-business global growth strategies within the Steel, Chemical, and Food & Beverage segments.
Prior to her successes at GE, Kim held numerous commercial, manufacturing, and strategic leadership positions with Alcoa, The Boston Consulting Group, and Owens Corning Fiberglass. She’s also a founding member of an online metals trading site called MetalSpectrum.
Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in ceramic engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and working on—and sometimes finishing—home improvement projects.
