Akhil serves as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the company and leads global M&A for IDEX as Vice President, Corporate Development. His finance career spans roles in investment banking and corporate development, with a foundation in mechanical engineering.
In his Corporate Development role, Akhil is focused on developing and executing a strong M&A pipeline. He partners with strategy and cultivation colleagues and business leaders on transactions and integrations of our acquisitions, playing a critical role in the execution of the IDEX growth strategy.
Akhil joined IDEX in June 2023 from Rivian Automotive, where he led several initiatives across strategy and corporate development, including multiple capital market transactions and an IPO. Before Rivian, Akhil held several investment banking leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital. Akhil also worked with the Department of Defense for several years as a Manager, Data Management Services.
Akhil earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Kettering University.
He lives in Chicago with his wife and two sons. He is an avid college football fan, especially rooting for his Michigan Wolverines. When he isn’t spending time with his family or watching sports, Akhil enjoys traveling and has a love for food, with desserts being his biggest weakness.
